Reclaimed oak floorboards removed from a house that was undergoing renovations. Although they are a more modern oak floorboard, they have still had many years of people walking over them, adding to their unique character.
This oak began life with a thick varnish and plenty of dirt worn into the surface. It was also a tongue and groove floor that had been glued when originally laid. Needless to say there was a fair amount of prep work to get the wood to a workable condition before creating the actual pieces. The results have been incredibly rewarding, in particular the wood is now showing off its natural colours and grain to its full potential, something that had been hidden and walked on for decades!
