From a large alder tree removed from a garden in St. Ives.
The grain in this burr is absolutely stunning, from a huge burr that went around the whole base of the tree. Full of shapes and even more character inviting the eye to see all sorts of figures and images appearing in the grain!

please note there are a couple of small worm holes in the wood, the wood has been treated prior to finishing and the hemp oil finish gives a good safe finish.
